The 9th grade center includes two primary buildings, a classroom building and an arena. Both the classroom and area buildings utilized conventional steel framing, beams, columns, and bar joists. The 2nd floor was composite steel construction. The first-floor slab is a suspended slab on void with grade beams and deep straight shaft piers. The lateral system is a combination of concentric steel braced frames and cmu shear walls.
