The Penberthy REC Sports Complex is a state-of-the-art recreational venue developed on a 10-acre site at Texas A&M University’s College Station campus. All fields feature artificial turf and can be configured in a variety of ways to adapt to multiple recreational event and activity purposes, such as soccer, lacrosse, rugby, and flag football games. The focal point of the complex is the Penberthy Pavilion which houses a staff control room, equipment storage room, restrooms, showers, a classroom with a 75-seat capacity and an open-air covered pavilion with a 420-seat capacity.

The Penberthy pavilion building is a pre-engineered metal building with significant interior and exterior square footage. In addition to forming the roof of the interior occupied space the metal building also creates a large covered outdoor gathering space. Due to the highly expansive soils the first floor of this building is suspended with pre-cast concrete planks on cast-in-place grade beams and deep piers.
